The International Network of Street Papers (INSP) has partnered with a number social enterprises to launch a new report giving insights into the international significance of purpose-driven organisations within Scotland.

Scotland is a global leader in international social enterprise. Organisations like the Homeless World Cup, International Network of Street Papers, Social Enterprise World Forum, and the International Social Enterprise Observatory demonstrate our success making worldwide impact from headquarters in Scotland.

“Scotland – A world leader in international social enterprise” highlights our progressive policies centred on wellbeing and equality that closely align with social enterprise values. The report also showcases the practical support available to international enterprises locating in Scotland, from business incubation to legal advice to funding access. Pages of case studies profile renowned Scottish social mission-driven organisations across sectors that have grown global networks and influence.

The report was officially launched at the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF23) in Amsterdam in October of this year.

Mike Findlay-Agnew, CEO of INSP, comments: “Scotland’s geographical positioning is useful - we have superb connectivity to Europe and the wider world. Scots have always been adventurers too, travelling far beyond their own borders.

"But it is Scotland’s value system which is so inspiring. There’s something about the Scottish attitude which makes for a brilliant match with the international street papers movement, which is committed to tackling homelessness and poverty. As a nation, Scotland is firmly on the side of social justice - many, many Scots believe in fairness and equality for all. This is why I am so delighted we have parntnered with our colleagues in this sector to demonstrate the impact of all our organisations on a global scale."
