Podcast: Media Voices speaks to INSP members about the street paper movement

Publishing aficionado Peter Houston joined INSP at the Global Street Paper Summit last month to deliver a break-out session about the battle for grabbing readers’ attention and fighting for a regular audience for street papers in an increasingly digital world.

While at the summit, Peter also spoke to delegates at the summit for his Media Voices podcast, to gain an insight into the street paper movement and the current challenges being faced. He was interested to know what drives the people behind street paper publications, and how they ‘provide an innovative solution to urban homelessness and unemployment’.

Listen below as Peter talks to Fay Selvan of Big Issue North, Ranya O’Connor of The Curbside Chronicle, Tim Harris of Real Change and Janne Hukka of Iso Numero:

Interviews begin around 9 minutes.
